Happy New Year!
Finally some photos! Gerwyn's camera is back in action, just in time for New Year's photos! Today we spent the afternoon at my aunt and uncle's house to celebrate new year's and my grandmother's birthday. There was lots of catered food, my aunt's homemade kimchi (made even tastier by her smuggled-straight-from-Korea ingredients!) and Carol's vanilla bundt cake, marble meringues and Hanna's chocolate wows. Korean custom on New Year's Day is to bow to your parents first thing in the morning to wish them all good things for the new year. I coached Gerwyn the night before on what to do and say and after a quick practise session with my cousin Mark, he performed just like a regular Korean!
My nieces Charlotte and Samara were adorable in their matching ham-boks and they both did a great version of their own bow. As you can see from the photo above, Samara thought it would be better to make sure her parents went nice and low instead of joining in herself. The kids were adorable, the food was plentiful and the first memories of 2010 were made. Hope everyone had a great New Year's Day and all the best for 2010!

Happy New Year everyone! Gerwyn wears that injury with such pride that it looks cool to have three pieces of tape on your forehead!
The girls are so adorable!! Glad to see some pictures finally!
