Family
Its been so long since we've had family photos taken. When we were kids I remember doing the big group shots whenever we would go to the park for family bbqs. As we've gotten older, I guess no one remembers to take family photos anymore. So for my mom's 70th birthday I thought it would be a great occasion to get some "good" family shots. I asked Mark's cousin John to come and take photos with his fancy schmancy camera and voila, updated pics! Of course, there are some important family members missing from these photos and I also forgot to take the big group shot, but at least these are a good start. When my family immigrated to Canada, there were five families in total. My grandma, my dad (her son), his three younger sisters and his younger brother. We all started out living together in cramped apartments until each family could get on their feet before bringing the next family over from Korea. Now when you look at these updated photos, its amazing to see how far we've come. Lots more grey, lots more babies, and a thousand memories...
Happy 1st Birthday Talia!
Today we celebrated Talia's first birthday at the Withrow Park Clubhouse. Carol outdid herself with all the desserts (yes, those are Pumpkin Whoopie Pies and a pavlova in the photo!) and the kids were adorable as usual. The clubhouse was a great venue, lots of room and places for the kids to play while the adults got to eat and chat. Unfortunately they were sticklers on time and the janitor started clearing away tables and chairs while we were still in 'em! We didn't let him spoil our fun though, Talia and Samara looked lovely in their birthday outfits and Marley enjoyed playing with her cousins. I also made out with an entire tray of cupcakes and desserts so this party will continue well into the rest of the weekend for me! Happy Birthday Tally!

Char's bday dinner
Yesterday we met the fam to celebrate Charlotte's 4th birthday at Congee Queen. The restaurant was packed but the food was aplenty! Miss Char enjoyed her little party and especially opening her presents. This is a photo of her opening my gift, an intro to Scissors and a Make-Your-Own advent calender. Hope you enjoy making a mess!!
You turn your back for one second...
I was preparing breakfast this weekend and left the box of Cheerios on the counter to get a plate. Next thing you know...

Happy 4th birthday Charlotte!
Here is a photo of me and my niece at my mom's 70th birthday party. I can't believe what a big girl she is now! She was a great intro into having my own baby, always so smiley and loving, suckered me in with how easy she made it look!!

Marley's new bff...
This is Marley's newest friend, Samara Autumn Kaur Mudhar. I had the pleasure of meeting her for the first time on Wednesday night as she only just came into this world early on Tuesday morning. What a cutie pie and already so much hair! Right now, she looks just like her daddy Raju but I have a feeling she will get some of mommy Saadia's gorgeousness in the next coming months. We look forward to many new play dates with Samara and are so thrilled with her arrival!!

Playdate with Sully and Jacen
Yesterday we were treated to a visit from both Sully and Jacen (and their moms). I hadn't met up with Susie in a few weeks so we decided to have brunch and a little playdate in the morning. Then Sally came by later in the afternoon and all 3 kids got to play together for a bit before Susie had to go home. Its amazing how much the kids have grown together. They are almost now at the point where you can't tell their ages apart by looking at them. Before Jacen always seemed like the baby, he wasn't as mobile, but now, all 3 crawl around and play together (and fight together!). It was hilarious to see. Marley thoroughly enjoyed her play time and is looking forward to seeing her bffs again soon. Thanks for the visit ladies!

D'lish Cupcakes
Yes that's right, this is yet another post about cupcakes. Today I was introduced to another cupcakery in town, D'lish Cupcakes at Queen and Bathurst. They looked pretty and tasted even better. Definitely high up on my cupcake list. I tried the macaroon (amazing), chocolate marshmallow (slightly disappointing only cause there wasn't enough marshmallow for my liking), the red velvet (I think the best I've ever had!) and the vanilla (always a good one). Yes, I ate four. (Really, 3 and a half.) They are $3 each so a bit pricier than others I've seen but they do use quality ingredients and man, they're just darn good!
