Mother's Day - Part 2
Today I woke up to flowers and cards from both my husband and daughter. Surprising that Marley was not only able to pick out a card but write in it too! What can I say, my daughter is advanced!! After cards we all got ready and headed to the beach for a picnic with a quick pitstop at McDonald's. Originally we were going to bbq and take a basket to the beach but we forgot to defrost our goodies and McD's is just so much faster!
It was a gorgeous day and Ms. Marley enjoyed her first time at the beach, even if it was a tad chilly. After lunch, we walked along Queen East and stopped at the park to watch a juggler on stilts and grab a frappucino at Starbucks. What a long and exciting day! Now we've ordered in some Thai and are ready to settle in for a little Amazing Race and vegging out. My first official Mother's Day was officially a great success! Thanks to Gerwyn and Marley for making it happen.

Mother's Day is a great one when you have a husband and daughter as wonderful as yours, but also when you don't have to lift a finger in the kitchen except to scoop things out of a take out dish.
