Sheldon and Christine's Wedding
Saturday we made our way to the Old Mill Inn and Spa for Gerwyn's friend Sheldon's wedding. It was a beautiful venue and we took full advantage of the great scenery for lots of pictures. Gerwyn's friend Lawrence also brought their one month old, Tyler and we partied with the babies. Marley managed to stay up past midnight and was social as ever, even in her pjs! Sheldon and Christine just live down the street from us so we are looking forward to many more gatherings with the new happy couple in the future.

Meeting Sasha!
Today my friend Cybele visited us with her new son Alexander (nicknamed 'Sasha', his dad is Russian). Cybele is my highschool friend who now lives in Germany so its not often we get to see each other anymore. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience our pregnancies together, but today we finally got to meet each other's children. I made us breakfast, the babes went for their naps and then we went for a walk to find lunch. Its doesn't sound like much, but it managed to take up a whole day!
It was a great visit. I was so happy to meet little Sasha and introduce Cybele to my neighbourhood. Since we had the whole day, we didn't have to rush (which was good because its hard to catch up when you are constantly losing your train of thought,) and we got to experience some quality friend time.
Thanks for the visit! Hopefully our next one will be in your neck of the woods.

Fried 'rice'
A few months ago I was at the restaurant Linda and tried their Quinoa fried rice. It was just like fried rice but without the actual rice. It was delicious and decided to try it at home. Linda even told me how to make it! Its so easy now its become a staple dish in our house. A great way to use leftover steak or any meat as well. Just stir fry your veggies, add the cooked quinoa, soy sauce and an egg at the end. So simple, much healthier, and so deeleecious!
Happy Birthday to me!

Muffin Batter
Rough waters
This trip we got to introduce Marley to the "ocean" (actually the Caribbean Sea I think?) and as you can see, it did not go well. The sound of the tide and seeing the water move up onto the shore just scared poor Miss M so much she wouldn't let go. The first shot is about as far as we got. Maybe next time...
Marley in St. Maarten
Here are some shots of Miss M vacationing. One of these photos is her "poo" face, can you guess which one???
Fun in the sun!
We're back from St. Maarten! Woo hoo! Yes, I'm happy to be back. It was a great trip but as I expected, travelling with a baby is a lot of work. Made worse when Marley came down with a fever on Wednesday night. Our flight home on Friday was exhausting. A sick baby combined with extreme heat and humidity and the worst turbulence I've ever experienced (the stewardess actually FLEW in the air and I was so thankful to have our seatbelts on!) made for a very bad combination on the way home. But thank God we're home safe and sound and hopefully Miss M is on the road to recovery. We stopped by a walk in clinic today and got a prescription for antibiotics (not that she will even take them!) so we'll see how the next few days go.
The weather was hot, the water was gorgeous and the food wasn't too bad. We spent most of our days by the pool with one day trip into Phillipsburg to get me a sparkly birthday present. St. Maarten is known for its diamond jewellery and I just couldn't leave empty handed. Maybe you can spot my new bling in some of the pics. (You have to look real close...)

9 1/2 months
Here are some random shots of Miss M doing her favourite things: reading books, smiling for the camera, eating Cheerios and trying to escape during a diaper change.
